home-made laundry detergent:
1 part borax
1 part washing soda
2 parts ivory soap grated (by ethan, unless he grants priveleges to the others.)
essential oil of rosemary, drops added and blended until plenty pungent.
use 1 tablespoon for average load.
works much better when stored in a pretty jar.
ahhhhhhh. and this is why anna loves laundry. (me, too.)
P.S. - This is my first post for Works-for-Me-Wednesday! If you're here visiting, sign on! Thanks for coming! (And

I love making homemade cleaners. I want to try your recipe, too. Do you have to stir it each time before you use it?
I've been looking everywhere for a laundry soap recipe! Thanks! How much do you normally make and where do you buy your Borax?
Now I'll have to try this! I just made my own laundry soap many weeks ago and I'm about due for another batch. Thank you!!
What a terrific idea for WFMW. :o) Great minds think alike!
Blessings,
Kimberly
I love the recipe my dear friend. Sure not seeing you as often as I'd like these days {sigh} Maybe an afternoon tree date next week?
What is Works for me Wednesday, and where can I post a homemade pedialyte recipe?
Thanks for this. I would love to make it - but, what is washing soda?
Hey Girl!! Thanks for your sweet comments. I wish you guys were still here so we could curl up on the lanai with coffee! We should plan to do that sometime when you are visiting your family, though. Bryce does blog as well - her blog site is www.atwinforgod.blogspot.com
She also puts tons of her pictures on her facebook page - send her a friends request -- she will accept you! :)
Frank Oakes is amazing. He is expanding Food and Thought into a much larger store with a restaurant. It is awesome! It is also strawberry season and he lets the kids eat right out of the packages in the store - we have purchased at least 5 containers this week alone - even Stan doesn't ask how much they cost and says "go back and get some more of these, they are the BEST in the world!" It is true. The broccoli leaves were delicious - I have never done that either. Frank told me it is 80% of the nutrition! They tasted just like collard greens.
Talk soon! Love ya!
